Through new systems for academic planning, course demand analytics, and schedule building, SAM is transforming the way UF plans and delivers the student experience.

Module Highlights:

UF Academic Approvals

  • Streamlined Processes: Coursedog will centralize the creation, approval, and maintenance of courses and programs through customizable, automated workflows.
  • Single source of truth: The platform will serve as the authoritative source for all curriculum data, integrating with systems like catalog, scheduling, and degree audit to ensure consistency, accuracy, and timely updates.
  • Enhanced transparency and planning: Features like dynamic forms, audit trails, effective dates, and degree maps will increase visibility, support compliance, and reduce administrative burdens for faculty and staff.

UF Academic Scheduling

  • Modernized, student-centered scheduling: Coursedog’s Academic Scheduling module will streamline UF’s course planning by aligning schedules with faculty availability, room capacity, and student demand, enhancing on-time graduation and retention.
  • Integrated, data-driven decision-making: Connected to UF Academic Approvals, Campus Solutions, and MyGatorPath, the new Stellic platform, the system leverages real-time course demand, student planning data, and customizable rules to reduce errors, optimize resources, and support strategic scheduling.
  • Powerful automated tools and features: With dynamic timelines, request dashboards, instructor preference forms, rule enforcement, and actionable reporting, UF can create more efficient, balanced, and accurate schedules with less manual effort.

UF Catalog

  • Centralized, accurate academic information: Coursedog’s Catalog and Handbook module will serve as UF’s official source for designated academic policies, program details, and course descriptions, with a user-friendly, ADA-compliant interface.
  • Seamless integration with curriculum: By pulling approved curriculum data directly from the UF Academic Approvals module, the catalog will ensure consistency, reduce maintenance effort, and enhance transparency.
  • Enhanced student experience and outreach: With dynamic updates, searchable navigation, and clear degree information, the new UF Catalog will better support current students and serve as a compelling, student-centric marketing tool for prospective students.

UF Course Demand

  • More informed academic planning: Coursedog’s Course Demand module uses enrollment trends and registration patterns to support data-driven decisions about course offerings and resource allocation.
  • Proactive, student-centered scheduling: By forecasting course and section demand, departments can reduce bottlenecks and align offerings more effectively with student needs to support on-time graduation.
  • Integrated and accurate forecasting: Seamless integration with the UF Academic Approvals and UF Academic Scheduling modules will allow recommendations based on the most current academic data and planned schedules.

Degree Audit

  • Clear, progress tracking: Stellic’s Degree Audit module will visually display a student’s completed, in-progress, and remaining degree requirements, supporting transparency and informed decision-making.
  • Curriculum-integrated accuracy: By connecting to up-to-date curriculum and catalog data, degree audits will reflect the most current program requirements, reduce manual errors and ensure consistency.
  • Enhanced advising and graduation planning: Advisors and students will gain a shared, accurate view of academic progress, enabling proactive support and better planning toward on-time graduation.

Planning

  • Student-centered academic planning: The Planning module will empower students to create multi-term course plans aligned with degree requirements, personal goals, and projected course offerings.
  • Integrated, proactive advising: Advisors will be able to more effectively guide students by using data from the UF Academic Approvals, UF Catalog, UF Academic Scheduling, and MyGatorPath (Stellic) modules—ensuring plans are accurate and up to date.
  • Improved confidence and course planning: This tool strengthens advising conversations, boosts student confidence in their academic path, and informs more efficient, demand-driven course scheduling.

Registration

  • Streamlined student experience: Stellic’s Scheduler and Register tool combines planning, scheduling, and registration in one intuitive platform, eliminating the need for students to toggle between systems.
  • Real-time integration with Campus Solutions: Registration data will flow seamlessly between Stellic and Campus Solutions, keeping students informed with live updates on enrollment, waitlists, and seat availability.
  • Personalized and user-friendly planning: With a modern interface and shopping cart-style registration, students can build schedules that align with their academic plans, extracurriculars, and personal commitments.
